Welcome to Denton Academics ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website located at dentonacademics.ca, as well as any coaching services, digital resources, workshops, or any other offerings available through our website.

By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this website.

1. Our Services

We provide academic coaching and educational support designed to help students develop skills, strategies, confidence, and planning related to their academic goals.

Our services may include:

  • Individual coaching sessions (academic/university readiness/communication skills)

  • Scholarship work

  • Educational resources

  • Digital downloads

  • Online courses

  • Email communications

2. Educational Purpose

Our services are educational by nature. We do not provide legal, medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic services. Our coaching should not be considered a substitute for professional advice in these or other regulated professions.

3. No Guarantee of Results

Every student is unique.

While we strive to provide high-quality coaching and evidence-informed guidance, we cannot guarantee:

  • admission to any educational institution;

  • scholarships or financial awards;

  • improved grades;

  • acceptance into competitive programs;

  • employment outcomes; or

  • any specific academic or personal result.

Your success depends on many factors outside our control, including your own effort, preparation, and the requirements of educational institutions.

4. Academic Integrity 

Denton Academics supports the development of each student's own skills and abilities. We do not complete assignments, write essays, or create application materials on behalf of students. Students remain solely responsible for the originality and accuracy of all work submitted to schools, universities, scholarship organizations, or other institutions. 

We do not guarantee admission, scholarship awards, or academic outcomes through our assistance.

5. Your Responsibilities and Assumption of Risk

By using our services, you agree to:

  • provide accurate information;

  • participate honestly and respectfully;

  • complete any work or preparation discussed during coaching;

  • make your own educational decisions; and

  • comply with all applicable laws and institutional policies.

You acknowledge that participation in coaching is voluntary and that you remain responsible for your own educational decisions and actions.

6. Eligibility

Our services are available to adults and to students under the age of majority with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Where required by us, a parent or legal guardian must register for services, accept these Terms, and be responsible for payment.

  • a parent or legal guardian must provide consent before coaching begins;

  • the parent confirms they have the authority to consent on the student's behalf; and

  • the parent accepts responsibility for fees and compliance with your policies.

7. Parental Consent

Our services are available to adults and to students under the age of majority with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian. Where required by us, a parent or legal guardian must register for services, accept these Terms, and be responsible for payment.

We strive to provide students with a respectful and supportive coaching environment. We may share general information about scheduling, attendance, progress, or goals with a parent or guardian when appropriate or where they are the contracting client. We may also disclose information where required by law or where there are concerns about the safety of the student or others.

8. Booking, Payment, and Cancellations

Fees for services are listed on our website or communicated before booking.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • payment is required before services are provided;

  • cancellations made at least 24 hours before a scheduled appointment may be rescheduled;

  • Missed appointments or cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be considered completed sessions and are not eligible for rescheduling or refund.

We reserve the right to update our fees at any time.

We reserve the right to suspend or discontinue services until outstanding balances have been paid.

9. Communication Policy

We aim to respond to emails and other communications within two business days. Coaching services do not include emergency support, crisis intervention, or after-hours availability. If a student is experiencing an emergency or mental health crisis, appropriate emergency or healthcare services should be contacted immediately.

10. Refund Policy

Refunds are available only where required by law or where specifically stated in writing.

Digital products, downloadable resources, and completed coaching sessions are non-refundable.

11. Intellectual Property

All materials available through this website, including text, worksheets, guides, templates, videos, graphics, logos, and course materials, are owned by or licensed to Denton Academics.

They are provided for your personal use only.

You may not:

  • copy;

  • reproduce;

  • distribute;

  • modify;

  • sell;

  • publish; or

  • share our materials without prior written permission.

12. Confidentiality

We respect your privacy and treat coaching conversations with care.

However, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in every circumstance, including where disclosure is required by law or where there is a risk of serious harm.

13. Website Availability and Technology Disclaimer

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or our services at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the website.

We are not responsible for interruptions caused by internet outages, software failures, third-party platforms, or technical difficulties beyond our reasonable control.

14. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites.

We are not responsible for their content, services, privacy practices, or availability.

15. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • interfere with the operation of this website;

  • attempt unauthorized access to our systems;

  • upload malicious software;

  • use our content unlawfully; or

  • use this website in a way that could harm us or other users.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Denton Academics will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of this website or our services.

Our total liability for any claim relating to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

17. Force Majeure

Denton Academics is not responsible for delays or interruptions in providing services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, wildfire, illness, power outages, internet outages, or other unforeseen events. When reasonably possible, affected appointments will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.

18. Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our website or coaching services if these Terms are violated, if payment obligations are not met, or if a client's behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise interferes with our ability to provide services safely and professionally.

19. Warranty Disclaimer

This website and its contents are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we make reasonable efforts to keep the information current and accurate, we make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or availability of the website or its content.

20. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Denton Academics from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your misuse of this website or breach of these Terms.

21. Changes to These Terms

Denton Academics may update these Terms of Use from time to time.

The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date.

Your continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia unless otherwise required by applicable law.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any signed Coaching Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Denton Academics regarding your use of our website and services.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
